Post Pictures of your MSP

Good looking MSP heathen. Very clean.

Thanks Kenetix! What are the chances we can keep this thread going? I'd like to see it grow with any picture. I will take a picture of mine after a long road trip covered in bugs. That's the way it normally looks.

Ryan, I like the blue Grounding kit! That would be my color combo of choice with an orange MSP.

thanks man thats what i plan for, having mp3 or translucent blue under the hood, maybe go for a metalic or mp3 blue in graphics on my car.. dunno yet.. wait and see how the world turns hehe.

Here's mine

kenetix, that "rocket motor" isnt terribly loud is it?

Dude, I have Vids of it but need hosting. The damn thing sounds so ******* sweet. Its not loud at all and has a very deep tone, thanks to the CF.We got midnight madness out at the track tonite so I'll bring pics and time slips.

I did want to share this one, though. This was taken the second time the intercooler pipe broke off at the joint. I had to epoxy it and wrapped it like hell with duct tape, electrical tape, masking tape and more duct tape. Ghetto? Yes. Work? Hell yeah.

Although the glue melted from the tape and it's stuck on the black plastic mazdaspeed engine cover. Nothing will take it out.. Any suggestions?

Tell mazda to replace anything damaged related to their faulty IC pipe. End of story.

Naw. I put the tape on, so I can find a way to take it off. They've already been nice enough to order me a part of the intake from me breaking off one of the bolts that holds the airbox onto the MAP sensor.

I'll take pics this weekend after I get my car. :D

My Conclusions
  • I think Black is more popular for 03s, but the Orange seem to travel in packs
  • Titanium is the most popular 03.5 color
  • No one buys silver
  • I think there is only 1 Blue 03.5 on this site
  • 90% of MSP owners stick with the Racing Harts
  • The MSP looks even better on TEINS

My Comments/Questions
  • PHRiSCo: What kind of wheels & what size?
  • jroof: Nice wing shot
  • TurboProtege: Maybe you can understand my user name. I was on Vortex for at least a year under the name Black_Magic & the car in your sig is exactly what I wanted.
  • Kenetix: I like your exhaust, but don't you think it sticks out too far?
  • t3ase: How did you get that side rolling shot & how did you clear your corners?
  • Are Black & Orange the only 2 colors for the 2003s?
  • Anyone else notice that Blazing Yellow looks a lot like Imola Yellow (see pics below)?

My Pshop ideas

*Imagestation is ghey so you have to add .ORIG.JPG to the url for the full size pic*

As I pointed out, almost none of the MSP owners change their wheels. Did anyone ever think of powdercoating them like this?

What about painting the emblem? I know GhostP5 has done it, but I haven't seen it on an MSP.

I'd love to debadge eventually when I can afford the repaint the trunk & if I had an 03, I would remove that center post on the wing. Has anyone with a Spicy 03 ever thought of painting that area on the rear lip like this (I don't think you could tell on Black)?

Rolling shot was achieved by driving with my left arm out of the window with me leaning out holding the camera. That's just one of about 38 shots that I took. It was just a guessing game with the wind blowing and the akward camera placement in my hand.

Runner-ups:

As far as the cleared out corners... Check GhostP5's write up on how to paint your headlights. You basically remove them from the car and bake them to melt the sealant. Pry them apart carefully and then pop out the amber reflector. It's literally just pushed in there, no adhesive or anything. Put the lights back together, rebake to seal the sealant and reinstall.
