just bought a pressure washer today!!! im never going to the carwash again if it can do this... it was only 170 and since my parents gave me 20 bux to clean the car it was $150CDN, came with 3 attachments (bonus items), its only 1400PSI cuz its an electric but its maintainence free, its small, never need to oil even has a soap brush and soap resevoir

Looks nice. I've never used a power washer before, but I was wondering, did you still soap the car and everything or just hit it pretty hard with the power washer water? Also, is this bad for the paint/car in general if you did this often? I'd love to be able to keep my car clean and do this once a week or so, but I cant soap it that often since I know it's bad for the clearcoat to wash with soap every week.

Ive used a pressure washer before but when your car drys theres still gonna be drity spots unless you do rub down evey inch with soap and then wash it off, works pretty well on the rims though.
 
still looks good though, i spent 5 hours detailing my car yesterday and some more today but my digital camera is broken, so maybe next time!

in that pic are tein basic coilovers with some more threads to go down a little further but im runnin tien s techs on illumina as my daily setup
 
Josh, you mind snapping some pics of my car if I ever head over to your side of town, state, region? Lol.
 
the second posters car washing advice is the worst ive possibly read on this forum...

a proper, decent car wash is perfect for paint. the water you use is potentially more harmful. like hard water that sits. after the water evaporates, it leaves the minerals behind, which etch the clearcoat and make those hardwater marks some of you may see on your car.
