Eyelids

MM3Canuck I got the eyelid's from a friend that bought 2 sets for his sedan and sold me the other set. They are Accolade eyelid's... I paid 30 dollars for them but they normally go for 50.00 to 60.00 a set. I painted them myself after a botched job by a body shop. Here is a link to Accolade http://www.body-kit.com/maz0403eyelids.html
I just got the Halo's installed recently and I really love the look. I get so many people looking at my car. They have that WTF look on their face.... LOL Thanks for the compliments................. Clue

I modded my last car into the $12k+ range (2003 WRX) so this car won't be getting modded. The only thing I plan on doing is tinting the windows and perhaps later getting a set of springs to lower the stance.

Here's a snap of my old car:

:) So far I'm extrememly happy with the craftsmanship of the Mazda. Subaru's are nice but the interior wasn't as nice. The mazda's body panels and doors just seem to be better manufactured and there's no 'dong' sound when I shut the door, unlike my Suby.

Thumbs up! Perhaps when the warranty runs out I'l get a Hi-Boost Kit :)

Halo's

MM3Canuck It isn't exactly easy but if you take your time it isn't that bad. It is more nerve racking that hard to do. Baking the lights isn't hard just baking on a low heat and not trying to hurry.things by turning up the heat. I am working on a walk through as well. I will try to get that up soon

You all have some nice Mazda 3's and Mazdaspeed 3's. I can't wait till some of the MS3 guys start doing some suspension work and throw some wheels on their cars.

As far as insurance rates go, it will depends solely on you residence and age. When I lived in Southfield, MI (right next to Farmington Hills) my insurance was more expensive that it is here in the Bay Area, CA. Age does play a role, but you location plays an equally large role too. The Detroit Metro was one the worst areas to live as far as traffic accidents go and that was why it would cost so much, not to mention all the stolen cars. For some interesting reading google Determining Auto Insurance Rates or check out http://auto.howstuffworks.com/car-insurance.htm.

Now back to the cars...post some more cool pictures.

Okay cool thanks!!!

Baking?????

Yes Baking`

Yes in order to install the Halo's you need to bake the headlights to soften the glue. So you can take the lights apart.

I believe that works

Yes I have heard that you can use a heat gun. The only problem that I can think of is getting even heat everywhere on the head light. The oven works well and @ 200 degree's the light doesn't melt

sounds like an iffy procedure. Not sure if i would be willing to take mu lights apart!!! You haven't had problems with leaks or condensation?

None at all. I made sure they were sealed... Everyone says that then when they do it they come back with OMFG it is so worth it. LOL But yes it is a bit troubling when you first think about it.

ew i dont like it with that lower grill or the cf hood. that hood looks an odd color on that mica black and you need some tein h'chez

skullz_3, let me know when you post the "how to" for the angel eyes. I am curious what is all involved, tools, parts etc. Will it include pictures as well?

I think I would too afraid that somethign goes wrong, or that after a year one the lights go out...than it would 1. look like sh***, 2. lot of work and money to get new ones.

There are already a handful of how-tos on the some of the other mazda3 forum sites.

Technically, it isn't mine yet. It's still sitting at the dealership, but my brother snapped some shots to help get me through the last couple of weeks...
