Possible to add center console speaker?

So I have a 2015 CX-5 sport, has the area for the speaker in the console, but just nothing present there like there was in the tweeters(wiring).
I'm thinking having that center will fill that gap in sound the car has even with upgraded speakers/deck/sub.

Anyone ever done that before?

Currently have
Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS
4x Polk DB651's
Sound Ordnance B-8PTD

Just not finding a good site to show how I can get this done. I think my head unit can handle another speaker, but just not sure how I'd get the wiring done.

I also wonder if just switching the tweeters to polk 3.5"s will get me what i'm looking for. That needs no real work to be done as a bonus.

If you meant the center dash speaker location where the Bose system uses, I'd not consider to put anything there as it's for center channel on a home theater system setup but we don't watch movies while driving. Many people are complaining that Bose is too front and center heavy mainly because this front center speaker is too strong. Besides, there is no wiring, I believe, in there like these two side dash speaker locations. By the way, the OEM front dash speakers on CX-5, Bose or non-Bose, are not tweeters but crappy 3" mid-range speakers.

The only thing I'd consider to put in that center location is a subwoofer. But the space and opening is too small and you've already had a pretty good Sound Ordnance B-8PTD 125-watt compact-powered subwoofer.

I also wonder if just switching the tweeters to polk 3.5"s will get me what i'm looking for. That needs no real work to be done as a bonus.
Like RG_Flyer said, this is a good option and easy to do. 3" Polk Audio DB351 coaxial will enhance a little on middle and high notes for front. The only thing is you have used up 4 speaker outputs from your Pioneer head-unit, how are you going to hook up these two DB351's even if the factory wiring is there?

Even with your current audio system setup, the sound quality has to be better than our Bose system! And I envy you! :)

The ones i had bought from mazda worked on the original deck with the same wiring. You make a good point in that I actually haven't checked if they're still functioning after replacing that with the pioneer deck. The adapter used though basically comes strait out of a AUX jack so I'm thinking the speakers still should work off the adapter. I will make a check for sure though before I open the 3.5's(I bought them :)). The mazda ones I had were just a plastic plate with a tweeter in the center I thought. I don't think they were actually 3.25's, but it's been a while since I added them.

From your description of Mazda OEM dash "tweeters", they seem different from this INST PNL SPEAKER - 2013 Mazda CX-5 (KD6266960). Would you mind post a picture of your "tweeter" just for out of curiosity?
