Portable GPS

Has anyone though of/tried to mount a portable GPS (ie Garmin nuvi 200W) in the popdown sunglasses holder? Or in the end of that bump where the map lights are? My center console spot will eventually house a gauge pod so I'm looking for ideas where to mount one with a permanent power supply.

none of those places are particularly accessible. I have my GPS mounted on my left side right above the round air vent. It doesn't block your view, its within easy reach, and you can easily hardwire it through the sidevent or just along the trim down to the fusebox.

i put the sticky thing over the radio.. it blocks FM1/2 CD 1 2 and the Discs.. but I never use them so I don't care.. It looks pretty cool... haha
