Port Agreements

well today, it seems like the port workers on the west coast settled on an arrangement such that dock workers will not receive pay cuts but very few workers might get laid off. The docks should be running faster soon than now so the mazdaspeed proteges should arrive sooner or later if indeed it is dock related.

Mazda has to install the parts here in the U.S.A. at the ports. Are the port strikes only dock related or is it not related to the speed of installations?

Port strikes lead to the eventual speed of installation. No dock workers to get the cars out, no cars to get the parts installed on etc...

I'm not sure on the actual arrangement however the dock strikes are a part of what has kept some of the Mazdaspeed Proteges from getting out to dealerships.

Also for the MS Proteges on the east coast, they were recalled to the ports 2 weeks ago b/c of cold starting problems. My dealership was supposed to recieve one the day after thanksgiving, but they ran into another problem with the car. I don't know what kind of problem though. I hope that helps some.

The was another leak in the intake plumbing. They had a conference call about it last week.
