Unless you're into car shows, why waste your time getting every speck of dust off there... I occasionally will spray mine down (maybe once a year) but that's it....

I've never understood it.... no one ever sees your bay, so why polish it up... i honestly couldn't care less.

well when your into cars like me, i find it embarressing and my engine bay is shown quite frequently... i bet i show my engine least 2-3 times a day, but who knows maybe its just a msp thing.

You guys obviously never (or rarely) have to drive on dirt roads. To keep my bay even somewhat close to clean I'd have to clean it every day. No way it's worth the time and work. Espeically when it's just a little piss-popper 4 banger.

props to those engines that look good.. but it's a bit too much work for me to do, if I'd have to do it daily..

you dont have to do it daily,, all im saying is that if you drive on dirt roads i'd probably do it every other day or 3rd day whatever deams neccessary right now i do it everytime i wash my car which is about once a week sometimes once every two weeks.

I have opened my hood once in the past 6 months and that was to fill the washer fluid.

I don't know, I don't mess with s*** under there. Its foreign territory to me except for the electrical system. I leave it up to the mechanics.

Its kinda like house wives (or husbands to be PC) that vacuum under the sofa. I don't give a s*** what is under the sofa. Why does it have to be clean? No one is going to see it. People don't say to me, hey nice sofa can I see what's under the cushins?

All in the same at least use a wet rag to get some of the crap and dust off every thing. I took about 30mins the other day and it made a world of differnce.
