All proteges use the same ecu. The MP3's is just reprogrammed just like the MSP's. The MSP's has the most extensive reprograming though than the MP3. It's not just more fuel it's adding.

He beat me to it....

Pun intended based on the avatar he is using...:p

I am currently in the process of getting some ECU reflashed. MP3 and MSP. I am trying to see if I can get a copy of the CD ROM. The harness can already be purchased by a dealer or certfied mech.

I am also trying to get a print out of the maps this way we can do our own reflash with our own numbers.

JUST BE PATIENT.

there was a post sometime before of which pins controlled what in the ecu. if you can get it flashed succesfully..... good luck! i am patient and waiting do us well man!

How are you doing that?? Other people with big time connections are having a hard time getting ECU's reflashed with anything other than stock info...

Why Not Buy the J-Spec Engine for $1950.00?

Hey guys, why not just do an engine swap to the J-spec FS-ZE motor. It runs about 170hp and it is only $1950.00 from Cork Sport. Seems to me that this would be the way to go if your car has more than 30000 miles on it, then throw a turbo on it and I bet you could easily push 200hp at the wheels with low boost. Here is where you can get one. Understand I came from owning a 92 Honda Prelude SI, engine swaps are big on Hondas. i would do that before I threw a turbo in it.

The more you have to start with, the more you can end up with!

Sorry the link sucks, click on the link and then one the web site click on "J-Spec Enignes" in the menu bar. They also have a whole section for Proteges.

The FS-ZE doesn't make 170 HP...It makes 170 PS, which is different. And you won't beable to get that full 170 PS out of it because the ECU is different...

Here is my dyno with my FS-ZE:

MP3/FS-ZE Dyno

I was dissapointed. With more mods, I could have had more power though. Not to mention the engine was crap from Japan.
