Just ordered some espelirs to reduce the wheel gap I'll get once I put my mp3 rims on. Just wondering if I should replace the stock struts with Tokico HPs when I put the springs on in a few weeks. I did a search, but I want to know what people think for my case.

I'm only at 29k miles on the car, most of which is freeway/highway driving, so I'm pretty sure the stock struts have a decent amount of life left in 'em. And now I only drive about 8-10k a year, so by the end of 2007 I'll probably be at around 37k or so...

What do you think? Should I wait to buy the struts until my stockers go out? Or should I just do it all now? I'll probably be installing these myself, or with the help of some other forum members at the NEPOC meet coming up in a few weeks!

I'd say if you can, do it all at once, that way you don't have to worry abt it any more.

unless you want the upgrade, I'm sure your stockers will last a while

The stockers will go pretty quick once your lowered. I lowered my car at 30k KM (not miles) and by 90k KM three of them were already leaking.

With that low of miles, I am sure that you can put off buying new struts for awhile. It is just easier to do everything at once....but not by any means necessary.

ok thanks everybody! Maybe I'll wait...unless anybody has some they're going to sell pretty soon...

It's not really worth the hassle to put springs on, have it aligned, only to do it all over again down the road. If you are going to do it, do it all in one shot and save yourself the money for alignment.

yup, save up for some struts and do both at the same time. The installation may be easy but it's really not worth doing twice. I put on my springs about 2 years ago and now my struts are shot. Should've saved up $350 and bought struts on ebay along with my H&R's.
