PnP Standalone engine management

Im interested but jesus $1800?! Thats nearly 10% of what i paid for the car. What advantages would this offer over the very nearly vaporware cobb ap? I keep hearing people talking about "fooling the ECU" in the context of it being inferior to a standalone. How? I mean end results of course. What diffrences would i using this car as a rarely tracked daily driver stand to gain over the cobb ap or the Xede/CPE standback for that matter? Will it offer 5, 10 20hp over a "fool the ECU" system or are there other features that justify the cost to someone like me? I dont know what most of that list says, lol, so i need some schoolin.

What does this do to things like stability/traction control? It seems like you would have to be prepared to live without it, so this unit is definitely for the more hard core racer types that don't want the help.

You know what, after thinking it over i would pay that much. I wouldnt like it but i would if we could get a no joke standalone.
