dang a 3-day event? we only have a one day, once a year, around a park bit. they have different distances 4 the people who have cancer. they let them participate at their limit. it's a good cause, good exercise, and it's fun w/ friends and loved ones. there r also products u can buy like yogurt, pampered chef products, chevron breast cancer awareness toy car, etc. proceeds go 2 the reseach of breast cancer. good luck.

I am sorry to hear about that. My mom is a survivor of breast cancer and this past October, I did the Race For the Cure run to help raise money. She is in my prayers.

UPDATE:

She passed today. Tony has been updating everyone through another message board and wrote this:

"Well, Melanie's suffering is no more. She was declared at 1614 today. We took her off of life support and she passed peacefully. She took a few breaths but there was no struggling. It took just over 15 mins for her to stop breathing. Today would have to be the hardest day in my life. I am so grateful though that God chose to take her calmly and quickly from this world. Thank you all so much for all your support it got me through this difficult time in my life. I know I still have a lot to deal with but at least Melanie doesn't. I will always love you Mel and will remind our daughter of her beautiful (inside and out) mother. We will miss you!"

Thank you all you your support and thoughts. May she rest in peace.

Very sorry to hear that. my prayer are with you and your friends. she is now resting and not suffering anymore.

My Condolences to him, the family, her, you, and all friends. I know what it's like, as I have been surrounded by things like this all my life, and have lost many friends, family, and friends family. It really sucks, and though I myself do not believe in any higher beings, such as a god(s) or other, I do believe that the people who have lost their lives battling cancer, are some of the bravest people around. They put up their valiant struggles, and some of the best of them are overcome by these horrible diseases, but I am sure that wherever they may or may not go, it is better than this cruel world. They, the people who die, this mans wife, they will live on forever in the hearts of those who cared, and maybe someday, through everyone's efforts, there may be a cure, so these great people can go on living everyday lives. Again, my condolences, and thoughts, and best wishes to the family and friends.

i'm sorry 2 hear of the loss. she has been called home and she is now watching over all of her loved ones. i'm glad 2 know that she went peacefully. 4 others, pls make sure u and yoru loved ones get your check-ups, it could save lives. if detected early, it's very treatable. again, my condolences.
