- Mazda 626 1994 2.0
I have a 1994 Mazda 626 2.0. Was driving it one night to the store...got home...went to leave the next day and nada....she would turn over but wouldn't catch. Not an alternator or battery problem. Checked the spark plugs...found oil in cylinders 1 and 4. Changed the valve cover gasket and spark plug seals and spark plugs...still nothing. Checked distributor...a lil corrosion..cleaned her up a bit, but still nothing...replaced the distributor cap and button...still nothing...changed the spark plugwires and still nothing. I've done everything I can think of and checked sites for more intel with similar problems and have tried all their recomendations. I've checked OBD1 and got these codes...(/=long flash, -=short flash) /---------/-----/------/-------
From the Haynes Manual my roommate and I decifered that it was a 9,5,6, and 7...9 being te coolant relay, 5 being the knock sensor, and 67, as there is no 6 or 7, being the cooling fan relay...none of these should effect whether the car should start or not...right? Really need help badly...stranded without this car. Would really appreciate any info at all...thanks so much for taking the time to read this. Semper Fi!!!
