Please Help: I just did the Clutch Fix

Hey everyone,

Most of my original crap I deleted since I think I figured out the problem.

I am trying to figure out how much "play" i need between the actuator rod and the piston. I figured out that if you have the rod back far enough you can push the clutch pedal and you will hear and small "click" when it taps the piston.

I made my actuator rod back enough so there is about 1/2" of free play before you hear the click. Thats in the clutch pedal and not actually between the rod and piston.

Does this sound right or is this madness?

I have mine adjusted so that I can just barely feel the freeplay if I press on the pedal with my hand, but I can't feel any freepaly at all with my foot. If I'm actually looking at the rod I think I've got maybe 2mm of gap between the rod and the piston.

Ok so the only problem I may be facing would be "too much free play". That would mean when i press the clutch all the way in, I am not fully disengaging. I guess the way I would know would be if I ground gears.
