i got my gauges installed and all pretty easy, and they worked fine last night and then today, when pulling into a parking lot they went out, along with my gauge cluster and HVAC, can anyone help me with this?

i figured it was a fuse, but didnt see any blown ones

also, my dad really didnt want me to put these gauges in and said that if anything goes wrong im ******!....so i really need to get this fix like NOW so he doesnt know about it......

PLEASE HELP

i would double check that u have a solid ground for your gauges...then take a fuse light and go one by one and check each fuse.....or just replace them all.......i havent looked at my fuses yet but i would start with the ones that may have the dash lights goin thru it and go from there...its def a fuse though...IMO

boostedmazda- double check your connections! If it worked last night something came loose. I had my gauges do the samething because of the butt connectors, so I just ended up soldering them later. Check everything and I would also put a fuse inline with your A/F gauge. Look in your instructions, I think it was a 5amp fuse. You can get a fuse holder at any auto parts store. Good Luck!

i just checked all the fuses in the fuse box on the inside of the car.....and they all seemed to be fine, i used to the dimmer switch for power, which i now know to never do again. could it maybe be a fuse under the hood?

thing about fuses sometimes is that they dont gotta be blown to not work....ull need a lite to tap the metal part above the fuse and see if its gettin power..its a sort of "fuse light" that u ground and tap each fuse with to see if power is goin threw them...i had this happn on my old 240sx when i didnt have a good ground for my headunit..took out the dash lights and all the fuses were though to be ok cus they werent blown...but after re doin the ground and replaceing the fuses it works :)

ok....looks like ill be buying new fuses unless i can figure out which fuse goes to that dimmer, s***

does anyone know what fuse that would be or where or how i could figure it out?

u need to find the reason the fuse blew in the first place...or else it will do it again.....double check ur gauge connections then move on to fuses

without a wiring diagram on hand do this, remove EACH fuse one at a time and look at them.

i did remove EACH fuse one at a time and looked at EACH one of them, but thanks. i dont think my ground was a good ground, its hard to tell because its 15 degrees and dark. for now my gauge just wont have power, if i have to rerun the wires then i will, but i have to wait till i can get into my garage to work on it.....i just want my cluster back....lol :)

I had a power wire from the back of the fuse panel pull out on one of the msp which caused the instrument cluster lights to conk out.

Yeah, I installed indiglo gauges myself and they shut off once. I had to go back in and check the connections and make sure they were all secure. They worked after that. They've shut off twice since then, but came back on once I shut the car off and turned it back on. So all I can say is to check the wiring connections...I don't know anything about fuses.

ok so i went to pep boys this morning and got a fuse light and checked my fuses inside and it wasnt there, so i checked under the hood and i found it....didnt even look blown and it was my tail lights...hmmm, i am just going to try and put fuses in the wires i ran, or i am going to try and put in my own 12 volt source into an empty spot in my fuse box, any suggestions?

You blew a fuse more than likely because of a loose wire or bad connection. Before you replace the fuse check the wiring and maybe change the power source. This may be too much power through that fuse.

i dont think that the dimmer wire would be best for the gauges id use parking lights instead

yeah, the gauges have no power for now until i can figure out what would be the best route to run, and i think i am going to use the fogs because if they go out it isnt the end of the world and they seem easy to get to :)
