Can anyone tell how easy or not swpping Xeon HID from a GT to a non-GT speed3 would be. I have an opportunity to upgrade the complete headlight unit bulb/ballast/leveling system (Maybe) more or less anything I want from a 2007-2008 GT onto my 2009 Non-GT. The first thing that crossed my mind was the Factory Head unit but the plastic pieces of the radio are silver and mine are black (very blingish ), The next would be the complete sport leather interior, followed by the need to have the homeline system (but I know there is an intergrated wiper system on the GT models) which is no standard on the Sport Model. The only drawback to the swap idea is that I don't get to keep my stock item has they will have to be used for replacement back on the donor car.

If thing project is left better undone thats kwel to, Hell I love this car in its non-gt form.

Thanks in advance

I personally dont know but I would assume that it would be plug and play by transplanting all the parts involved the way companies build the same cars and outfit them with different parts that are in the same setup. thats my $.02 bu idk for certain

Are you going to install the levelling control switches and wires from a factory-HID GT model? If not, it's just as "illegal" than an aftermarket kit.

I guess the swap will be more work than I'm willing to put in. Hell I just crossed the 1k mark, and I really don't feel like hackin up my car just yet. The HID easy to purchase from ebay and how many GT guys really adjust their headlights that often? The seats I think I'll pass on those where as mine are ok 1k miles old these sport lwather one have 28k miles. Not a true trade out in my favor. The rear tail light I guess I just don't see the big deal. If I would have spent the extra 2 grand I would have been in a GT. I more want the motor and the fact that enterprise wanted back their rental, I sign the papers, And I would sign them again in a heart beat. Here I Florida where the weekend sportscar carries a six figure price tag Its damn cool when they pull to me and ask What you have in that thing for a motor because I'm surprised you were able to hang with me (i.e. He couldn't drive his own car).
