Pioneer or Kenwood?

I love my Alpine! It's great that I can store the settings to a CD and if I need to unplug my car's battery I can just download the settings to the HU off of the CD.... Anyway, since that's not a choice Pioneer. After the fiasco with the OE MSP HU Kenwood's out for radios. I've heard that their amps are okay, though.

Nope it will place right on the missing parts, u might need alittle insulation or something of the kind to make sure the HU doesn't rattle with the kit, also u need a harness i recomend the scosche MA03 but u pick

yea where can i get the insulation?

i was reading the sticky...
it says...
Scosche: MA03, MA03R into factory radio NO DIMMER OR ILLUMINATION
i know most HU don't do dimmer anywyaz..
but what does illumination do

its the same as the power + just lights up ur HU

don't use insulation try to use velcro or something soft of that sort.

so bascially MA03 will work fine?

no worries thats why im here for.. helping out!

velcro is like a wallet sealer or ask ur mom or dad what velcro is they will tell you in a jiffy i don't know how to explain it,

what kit are you getting?

don't forget to be easy on the tabs tehy will break and bend back if u push them too much while taking out the HU (old one)

you should get a sub also!

Scosche: MA03, for the harness
then a mp3 pocket
is that all i need?
i want to hold off for the sub right now.. and wait til i have more money later...
i should still be able to use the crappy stock one , right?

it will work fine just don't over do it, ur connecting a aftermarket HU to stock speakers! so be carefull how much power u send. but yup thats all u need. make sure you get some tools or plan on what you need to use, i will have pics on my install next week, on everything.

I must be the only guy that really doesnt like a pioneer unit...I hate how they are set up...They are like no other nit on the market and never have been...I am referring to the settings and what pioneer calls them.They seem totally backwards to me.

I'll take the Kenwood thanks

If Alpine was a choice...It would be my first.

kenwood is 90% software and 10% good sounds quality
alpine is like 60% sound and 40% software
pioneer is 100% sound and software! they put hard work on their HUs (protest) (protest) (protest) (protest) (protest)

got the adapter and HU from Etronicscom thru amazon...
then got the installation kit and harness from sounddomain....
coz 80MP was backordered at sounddomain.. lol
Pioneer would still honor the warranty, right?

yea i m gonna ask my frd if he got the crimper... maybe i can save some $$... lol
