It is time to start planning. I hope to get this setup for sometime in May or June. This is what I was thinking. Roll into Pigeon Forge on Saturday afternoon for anyone who wants to get there early. The main meet will be on Sunday. Pigeon Forge has tons of cool things to do...it's like Myrtle Beach in the mountains. Deal's Gap will be done on Monday. There are just too many cars, bikes, and cops there on the weekend to have any fun. We will be leaving either early Monday morning for the Gap or late Sunday night and stay at Tapaco Lodge. Lets get some input and see what kind of dates we can get that will work for everyone. Then I'll start calling the hotels and get some rates. I like to always stay at the Valley Forge Inn in Pigeon Forge, but it has been years since I've been there so all other ideas are welcome.

i bunch of us are going down for miatas at the gap!! we have a cabin at fontaina.. we go 2 to 3 times ayear.. ill be the only P5 the rest of my friends are miata guys, but all are welcome!! well be doing a fall trip as well and hope to get down before miatas at the gap.. let me know if you get some people wanting to go, ill do my best to make it!!!!
Have you got an approximate date yet? I'd love to do this, but my calendar is starting to get crowded for May and June, so the sooner a date is picked, the better for me. And I have a feeling there will be a whole group of us from the NoVA/MD area who are interested. 
I'm ready whenever you are. I want to plan this out, but I don't want to go to the Gap on the weekend. It is just too crowded and guarded by the TVA. I would probably go on a weekend, but I would stay over until Monday to do my Gap runs. I'm going to cross reference my work schedule with my autoX schedule and see what weekends I have off that I can include a Monday in on. Julian, can you get any updates on the TrackDOD days so we don't miss out on one of those either?

its in the gap itself!! so you play all day and night!! prices are about the same and location is top notch, you turn down the road thats at the cross roads, and a 10min drive down more gap roads!! ill be game, we always go for the miata events ther and then again in the fall

I was thinking about staying directly in Pigeon Forge on Saturday night and having the main meet on Sunday in Pigeon Forge. After the meet, those of us who can stay can get rooms at Fontana Village and stay there Sunday night for runs at the Gap all day Monday. That would be my ideal scenario.
