For those not familiar with Mazda's car shows, they host SevenStock every year at their US headquarters in Irvine CA.

"Car orgy" describe just how exciting these events are, because you are WAY overstimulated by the time you leave :D

For those of you who REALLY love your potege, you should make plans to attend this coming year's show. www.sevenstock.org should have details in the coming months, so make plans NOW!!!

I can't stress how much fun this show is (3 day orgy/party).

Here are the pics of several well built protege's, including MazdaSpeeds, and Racing Beats. Gotta love the dragcar they built as well.

For complete show coverage of over 650 pictures (56K/dialup friendly), go here:

(BTW - who owns the yellow protege' 5 in Atlanta, GA that's been lowered & tricked out ?? I spotted aftermarket rims, rear hatch windbreaker, yellow windshield stripe, big rear mazda symbol, and aftermarket blue neon running lights.)

Here's the pics:

Wow, cool pics man. That drag protege is no joke i wonder what that things run down the 1/4. I wish i had that motor in my p5:'( Or even the Tri point motor. I think it puts out like 220 HP and redlines at like 8000 rpm, sick

yah, holy farkit shoot, the motor in that drag is yuh-huh-hummy....

and the bonnacorsi is, as we can imagine, vicious...

but wtf is up with the black mazdaspeed protege turbo? It looks like it has the stock airbox.....yech...

That black filter box would be the first thing i would get rid of if i had a mazdaspeed. Isnt the air supposed to be filtered before it goes to the turbo.Im a bit confused though as it seems that box is getting pressurized air from the bottom of the intercooler.Doesnt the filter usually come out from the compressor side of the turbo than from the turbo into the IC and finally to the intake manifold. Where does that black tube on the bottom right of the picture go to.It looks like its going from the outlet of the IC into the box. Is it possible the black box is being pressurized with the filter in it. If so that sucks. The only option you would really have for aftermarket intake is a K&N drop in. Maybe im an idiot but it just looks strange to me:confused:

Nevermind im an idiot i had to take a closer look at the pictures linux posted with the mazdaspeed motor naked. The fat black tube on the back of the filter box goes to the compressor side of the turbo. The tube from the compressor in the front of the motor is going to the inlet of the IC and theres a narrow black tube all the way on the bottom from the outlet of the IC wich you cannot see in the picture wich was confusing me that goes to the intake manifold. What the hell is that little black tube sticking out from the airbox on the bottom right of the picture for though. Im thinking its routed to pick up cold air from somewhere. Whatever

did you see the size of the piping on that white drag turbo protege? I think I creamed my pants =/

that has to be like 4" piping, and they HAVE to be running like 20 PSI o.O

Piping size is all about pressure drop vs volume. On a turbo that big, it's problably just right.

Guessing the intake manifold & exhaust manifolds have been slightly increased :D

(that's why you have to run 18PSI with a diesel "cheap" intercooler to get 12PSI at the intake manifold. I'd rather only have 1-2 PSI drop by getting an intercooler tuned for my car's turbo).

If it's PrecisionDesign.com then all they have listed is Mazda trucks. BigBen/TightMP3, let us in on where to get this set up!

ok.. am i crazy??? the wingswest mp3 has CLEAR MP3 lights... (never noticed it before)... NO! they are not P5 lights.. the p5s as we all know use two bulbs in two separate housings... well.. same housing.. diff sections of the housing (could you call them rooms?? theyre in a housing) but this one is the same design as the mp3.. single bulb.. single room... but w/ clear corners... BOMB!!! where the hell can i get em!! oh wait.. i should probably ask WW huh? since that car doesnt really belong to you guys.. ;)
