looks good.
wait a while and your springs will settle a little bit so it'll be lower than now.

yep, he said he's tucking a lil bit of tire right now up front since they've settled.

hey there equinox

i have a question about the installation. was it quite simple, straight-foward? could i do this myself or would i need and extra friend to hold something in place? also.. is an air tool absolutely necessary or does it just make things go faster?,, one last question. did you have to take off the brake rotor or anything like that? thanks

it was very straight forward. i'd never done it and i was fine. you prob want an extra set of hands for things, but i'm sure you can manage it yourself. no, airtools are needed, but we had them, so we used them. yes you have to take off the brake rotor and separate the hub from the strut. you also have to unclip the brake line from the strut. the rotor slides right off once you remove the caliper.

Careful taking off your calipers...Derrick took his off to paint and they got messed up when he reinstalled them.

no brakelines were disconnected, ie, no bleeding the brakes afterwords. The caliper comes off with two little bolts behind it, we only did this so we could get to some other bolts.

yea, sorry i guess i might have not made that clear enough. you just unhook the part of the line that is clipped onto the strut.

usually, i am all for do it yourself, but when mine come in im just going to shed the extra money to have it done by a professional b/c A) this is my only reliable car B)its a 2001! C) it will need to be realighned anyways

This is my car with the spool springs.

Just for your info guys, the fronts lower 2iiches and the back lower about 1.8 inches. You will need about 2 weeks and wait for the springs to sag. This will bring the back down to about 1.95 inches. Alot of guys have been really happy with the handling of these things. They really improve body roll and handling

Yup, body roll reduced by a whole lot, I rode in my friend's p5 recently, and the difference was like a minivan to a slot car, boy is it great now. It just seems liek the car should have come this way =) Thanks spoolin

I'm also about to get 18" rims with a 48+ offset, so when I do I can also testify to rubbing issues. =)

I don't think my eibach springs sagged at all... though I never really scientificly measured them. Are all springs supposed to break in that much to where you can notice it? cause it looks the same as they day I put them in. hmmm I guess terry's springes must be more gooder than mine springs huh

i just had my springs installed.. the front is low but the back is up there, i guess it needs some time to settle.. i'll take some pics soon.. also.. the steering feels kinda different.. like you need to put more effort into it.. is this how your guys is?

you need an alignment. Get that done and the steering will be okay. I need a second one tho because of how the springs settled. Although when I first got an alignment, I was glad, cause the wheels were all messed up, so, don't try and wait til they settle.

The day I put mine on, I went to SAMS and bought 2 big bags of dog food, couple bags of cat food, cat litter, and a metal shelf for the garage(132lbs), and left those things in overnite. It looked perfect with all that stuff in it, but in two days when I took the stuff it, it sits nice and level, and ligned up perfectly. The alignment shop said the rear was barely even out. Ordered my 18s' yesterday, and should be ridin nice by next weekend. :) :)

well.. i noticed that the back settled a little bit in the last 8 hrs.. the ride is pretty good not bumpy.. feels almost stock.. from your pics equinox.. my front looks lower.. i can't even fit 2 fingers in the wheel well
