Pics... Pics... Pics!!!!

sometimes i wanna sell the p5 and get a mazda3 S - White. thing looks so nice! the badge makes it look really neato from the back.

no way man...Ive driven my friend's MZ3s a few times and test driven a few new ones...still love the P5 more :D

Due to the placement of those mouldings (not on the widest part of the door) it's not going to save it from most door dings, unfortunately...

Might as well tear 'em right off! :D

Hey Stingfish. Great looking car! Did the SP23 badge fit over the US spec hole. I believe the word "Mazda" is stuck on with tape and the "3" has a hole. And where did you get it? Thanks for your help

Thanks again everyone... the mouldings don't do crap... sorry. Take any car out there and it will be very unlikely that when you go to open it nex to the 3 that the existing mouldings will end up where it's going to hit the door. It's jut not very likely. Same goes for shopping carts. My wife has a CRV with humoungous mouldings and she still gets door dings. Besides, I always park the car in BFE so I'm not at all concerned about anything hitting it.

As far as the badge goes... the Stock Mazda emblem is mounted in 3 holes... the 3 was just a sticker. I had to think creatively to get the SP23 badge to cover the existing holes because not every thing lines up but what I did is totally undetectable. I got the badge off of eBay for $50. They are hard to come buy. In fact, I have a friend in Australia that would have been willing to ship me out one if I were willing to fork over the nearly $100 between shipping and the exchange rate and all. Glad I found one cheap on ebay.

when someone says "bump" they are posting to raise the thread up to the top of the list in the forum ;)

yeah ditch the door trim, ive got cars that are 4 years old without a single door ding. u just have to park it a little farther out. not a big deal anyway, its where i normally park because i hate those darn spot shoppers, sitting in their car driving 2 mph following someone to their car so they can park close, i'm usually parked and int he store by the time those yahoos are getting out of their car.

Looks great. Now stuff a turbo under the hood. :D Kidding, kidding. Seriously, though, it looks good.

I will likely go all motor. Assuming this motor will respond to mods like the it's Focus brother, we are in for one wild ride. It won't be unrealistic to push 200+whp from intake, MAF, TB, cams and cam gears, pulleys, header and exhaust... for a lot less than a full blow turbo system... not to mention the already available hi-po clutches, flywheels, limited slips and tranny gear swaps... this is a low 14 second NA car... no doubt! The previous gen Mazdas didn't have the support... this one's so close to an already existing and popular platform, that it will.
