1988 MX6 GT Turbo
i cant figure out how to post pics on here so you can click on my name and check out my ride on my homepage. let me know what ya'll think (poke) (thumb).

Ive only had her about a week but planning on doing some improvements....its all stock right now.

The only thing ive found was the valve cover gasket was leaking a little ( fixed ) the power antenna wont go up and down, head unit works but antenna wont move, and the darn sunroof doesnt want to pop up without some help. But, other than that everything is in great shape. The car was garage kept and very well maintained..

I used to have a black 88 myself.....now I have a red 90...have fun picking on MSP's...These are torque monsters
 
My brother has a quite fast '88 GT...is doing a FE-3 swap in it soon. Toque is right, last time he dynoed it(last year) it was putting down 229whp and 255wft lbs. 2nd gear from a roll just goes to about 5,500rpm until the car catches up with the front wheels, and sometimes loses traction in the middle of 3rd. Ran 13.6 @ 103 last June I think it was.
 
my 90 GT is at the dealer right now getting worked on...hopefully they can figure out what is wrong with the ignition....

I miss my fast car....

SLEEPER FROM HELL !!

Mine might be down for good

undiagnosed ignition problem, mazda couldnt figure it out either....

had to pay the dealer $82 diagnostic fee ust for them to go (scratch)

were gonna have to charge you per hour to diagnose and we have no idea how long it will take ???

I'm gonna try another ECU(ive replaced pretty much every other ignition component), if that doesnt fix it, it will probably be parted out...

been down for 3 months and i'm paying to insure it

no spark....
crank but no start

pulled the coil wire itself and couldnt get spark off it

replaced coil,disty,ignitor,cap & rotor,checked all relays, checked plug wires...nothing.

Had same problem with my 90. Some days it would run, some it wouldn't. Ended up being bad wires in the harnes leading to the dist. Check the harness side of the connetor. Just an idea.
