PIAA H7 Xtreme White 55w

I think way too many people are caught up in the "HID" thing right now. I've had 2 different types of HID's installed on my P5 but have since gone back to the filament bulbs(Polarg Shining Wizard 5000K H7)
I think some reflector based headlight housings like the ones in our cars don't take to HID's all that well. Even the slightest misalignment of bulbs in the housing, throws off the light output geometry. That plus the fact that HID's output more lumens creates an overkill floodlight look ....the output simply looks unclean.
I therefore wouldn't rule out filament bulbs from PIAA, Raybrig, Gigalux, Polarg's etc. They emit a crisp, clean light(not overpowering) and look great when on and off.
If you want to make the bulbs last longer in our cars, it's definitely worth putting in a relay with heavier guage wiring....it'll prevent voltage fluctuations when the AC compresser kicks in and such.
Just my 2 cents.

When you had your HID kits did you use 35W or 55W? Because the 55W puts out about 40% more light than the 35W so if you used the higher wattage I could see what you're talking about, however the 35W isn't that overpowering. I think the people you see on the road with tons of glare are the ones with the 55W kits that are pointed way too high.

Does anyone know of any Canadian sites that sell HID kits for our cars? Shipping to Canada, and the possibility of paying duty, makes it pain.
