Phantom Grip Limited slip differential

I have read in the november issue of SCC, that they are using a Phantom Grip LSD in one of their project car, a 200SX. I have emailed people at Phantom Grip and they said they can do a LSD kit for our Protege for $349 plus shipping.

The SCC article is very interesting. They said that the Phantom Grip LSD is use by lots of rally and SCCA IT and Solo II racer. The Hyundai Factory rally Tiburon is using the Phantom LSD.

The only thing is that they need the differential for a week to make the kit. I don't know where they are located. I'm waiting for a reply about their location.

thats a good price, i plan on getting an lsd. Would it be cheaper if i was to get the lsd installed at the same time as my clutch/flywheel to save labor cost?

Some people are saying that they do not work well or break stuff. Do you plan on getting one? That would be sweet so we could see how this thing actually works

I didn't remember this thread. I read it again and I realy don't know what to think. Some people said good thing about the Phantom and others had bad experiences......

I never get news from the shop here in Quebec who supposed to be able to do a LSD.

I realy don't know what to think......
