I'm still trying to decide which way to go. NA, Turbo, or NOS (Probably not NOS). I'm leaning towards Turbo now that tripoint has released their kit but with the reviews posted by the Turbo experts on this board I have doubts again.

Which Performance Route did you guys take or plan to? (Poll)
Thanks for the Info...

It says "normally" up there...but to be picky, I think it means "naturally".

It just means not using things such as turbos,superchargers,nos...all motor as some people say...so things such as changing headers, intakes, exhaust are things you can do when going the NA route.

You know were my vote goes;)
Oh by the way, I am not bad mouthing tripoint. There turbo setup looks great, but what were they thinkin when they incorporated an aerodyne?????????? These have also been used in the miata community with negative results. My opinion is to go custom or Begi:cool:

I was just saying that if it's not reliable why spend 4K on a kit when you can go custom...

I don't know much about turbo so I need your recommendations..

Pretty good suggestion

I've got a good Suggestion for you guys thinking about getting this Tri-Point kit. Call and ask if you can get the intercooler setup only. Basically everything except the turbo and manifold. Then buy the turbo and manifold from Spoolin. Voila, you will probably save about $500 to $800 and get a better manifold and MUCH better turbo. I'm not sure if it will work, but it's worth a try.

I've called tripoint adn asked about their intercooler. It is 650 smackers without the piping and no price did he give with it...but from the looks of it there is some cutting involved....oh yeah you lucky guys with your compressed foam bumper reinforcment...I have a freakin hard fiberglass one....i've decided to take it out though to fit in the intercooler.

Real men go naturally aspirated. :)

I took the NA route on my Civic - something about having a 5 figure redline...

For the Mazda though, I'd go boost.

I had an Acura GSR before I bought my P5. I too went with the NA route...
The difference is that everything is available by all the different brands for the Hondas/Acuras...But not for the P5..

What I really like about NA is that it's way more reliable than any other route. In the other hand more power is achived by Turbo/Nos.

I might take your advice and go Turbo...

If I had a honda, I would go N/A. Hondas feel nice N/A. But we dont have hondas! The mp3 will not sustain seroius hp on an NA setup unless you spend ridiculous amounts of money(over 5 grand) and you still wont be fast as a turbo.;)

True. I might go Custom.
Spoolin Do you have any manifolds ready for sale?
What was your site again?

My site is up and running but t sucks!
There are still alot of mistakes that we are trying to fix.
I do sell the manifolds, pm me if your interested
thanks

Ok, I made up my mind!

I made up my mind. I going the NA route.
Now that Mazdamotorsports has the 4.833 final drive available, it will not be that hard for me to make it into the low 15's to high 14's.

This is what I plan to do:

J-spec Intake Cam
Mazdaspeed Exhaust Cam
Mazdaspeed Pistons
Port & Polish Headwork
Mazda Motor Sports 4.833 Final Drive
Injen CAI
Bosal Exhaust
AWR Racing Header

I think that should be enough because of the Final Drive Ratio.
Tell me what you guys think!!!:D

Sweet Charlie!!!
Good luck in whatever endeavor you choose.

Looking foward to see what you can get out of that All motor MP3!!:D
