2004 srt-4 Black wanna race?
hey what happens when u want to upgrade the t28? what are u gonna go too t3 or t4? y did u spend the 1000$ for a t28 when u can get a t3 for almost 300 bucks less yeah it might be fast NOW BUT t 3 will be alot more better (chair) y not wait until u build it up more then drop the money u spent on the t28 and start doing ur rods& pistons and then get a t3?

well, the GT28r and GT28rs bolt right up, and the ancient T3 has a different flange, and thus a new manifold

besidedes even a standard GT28rs can flow enough for 350 HP... you want more? then get a rebuilt T25, I believe you can get around 400 on one.

if you want even more HP than that then you will NEED a new mani anyways, in which case you should get a GT30R series turbo

The GT28RS is dual ball bearing. I can blow into the intake with my mouth and the turbo spins fast. T3/T4 are old technology.

K. SO here is the debate once again.... I 've heard so many different peeps say that the GT28RS does NOT bolt up to the MSP manifold.... Will some please CONFIRM what is right???

Because if it does bolt right up... I'll order one today!!!!

well from what i have heard from jhotrod, you wll need to maneauver the coolant lines a bit in order to get the turbo to fit.

that is all that i know of.

I have a custom manifold with mine and my turbo is larger then the regular gt28rs so i cant really say from my oen experience.

To get the GT28RS to fit you need to:

-You have to rotate the exhaust and compressor sides of the turbo

-Grind some of your downpipe to get the downpipe flange to fit tight.

-Then you have to modify the wastegate a little to get it to fit between the block and the turbo.

and Get a new reducer hose for the inlet plumbing

ASK MPNICK from Modern Perfomance.

Hi did an upgrade on the stock turbo to a 328whp mazdaspeed @ 16-18psi

Wtf

Hell we have T25's in our cars as it is and if you want more..., Find some one that will make a damn supercharger for our cars. I can't find one myself.

The T25 has plenty of boost, enough to blow your damn motor with out doing all the work you need to do on the internals. You people seem to think that you can just take a car and throw boost in to it and not have to work on the engine, tranny, rear end or anything.

Use your Freakin heads read read read and then reads some more. Find out what these piece of s*** motors can only do so much. 140 is the best I've done but it took so long to get there I had to shut it down. I would love to drop a 327 in to it and make it a rear wheel drive. But HEY.. Y do that if I cant make money to race it (hand)

when you are able to max out your turbo's efficiency, then upgrade =), im using a decent sized t3/t4 on my car and its pretty laggy, although with an electronic boost controller you can reduce that alot its still not going to be as fast spool up as a gt series turbo.

this is kinda no the same line, but what other than standalone, rods and pistons, fmic, intake, extra inkectors needs to be done....if its a lot of othe rstuff don't even bother sayin, but if its a few other things please let me kno, cuz im interesting in rinnin 15+ eventually

umm, you will never find a supercharger for our cars. we have this little thing called a turbo, nobody in their right mind is going to go through the work to swap out a turbo for a supercharger.

we can make all the power we want without touching our rear end...

to run 15+psi or for a t28? azian6er said he was still rich using his stock pcm with a t28 and low boost, so you wouldn't need that much to just run a t28. a t28 at 15+psi, if done right, wouldn't even need rods and pistons, you could do it with just other mods, but you don't leave yourself a lot of room for error. and extra injectors don't need to be done, just get bigger ones

yeah i was thinking of beefing up my rear end to hold all the extra hp i will be making. thats some funny stuff there, hmm upgrade the lug nuts?

anyways so u are saying the gt28rs has to be reclocked basically?heard a few others say just have to bend the oil and water lines? and something with the wastegate?
