People with Corksport CBE and downpipe.

I have a CPE downpipe with corksport, doesn't sound anything like the youtube videos. Thing is loud inside... not the sounds good kinda loud, really annoying loud. Not sure what it sounds like on the outside but all i hear is drone at pretty much any RPM. Kinda like a pipe organ at full blast, get a massive headache from short drives. I can barely hear the stereo, even at volume 20. Seems like the exhaust pulses are matching the vibration frequency of the chassis as even at idle the seats vibrate like massage chairs. There is no exhaust leak and exhaust is not touching the chassis.

Worse is when off throttle slowing down, its just a loud ear spitting hum... sounds awful... not a single crackle or pop from the exhaust. Apparently this engine closes the injectors completely when in gear slowing down makes it worse.

Instead of keep throwing money in to this problem, what are some successes to reduce the drone or quiet the exhaust down you guys have had?

i love the sound of mine, i have the same combo as you (cpe catted dp), but i agree it is pretty loud at times. I'm going to install my stock exhaust tomorrow and see how it sounds with the cp-e downpipe. i'm just kind of getting over the whole modding thing too, even though i love the rumble of the exhaust.
