People need to wise up financially...

I could do a few things here and there...but I actually think it looks nice stock. I like the rims better then most aftermarket ones. But that's just my personal opinion.

I think what happens is we just get bored with our cars and feel the need to mod them. I guess I'm not bored yet.

One thing that also put me off modding is I had a CAI and a cat-back on my P5, and tried a 3rd gear roll against my friend in a bone stock one, and both cars were dead even!!

each car is different believe it or not. numbers dont mean much unless you dyno it. also, different drivers maybe?

but i TOOOTTALLLYY agree on the "modding because we are bored". lets face it, new cars come out every day, and unless you do something to feel like your car is new/refreshed every couple of months, youll get bored and stop appreciating it.(mswerd)

I agree 100% and I'm a victim of my own greed and stupidity, Bought a 1992 Eagle Talon TSi AWD last summer for a project and ended up thinking I was "Smart" and upgraded all the broken/needed to be replaced parts with upgrades, meaning I also needed supporting mods.. about 7-8k later I found myself soon to be kicked out and looking for my own place to live, also realizing I still needed about 2k in parts I took the fall and parted it out and made barely over half back and I still have a personal loan with 2500 remaining on it that im stuck with for another year and a half. Lesson learned..

#1- couldnt help but notice your car is stock. HATER!

#2- couldnt help but notice your married. maybe this is the reason for #1.

HAH!

although i think that people spending money they dont have on modding their cars is dumb. for the most part it keeps them out of trouble in other aspects of life. lets say... drugs, alcohol, and such.

I can't agree with you more. That's one thing I like about the car scene is that it does keep you out of trouble to certain degrees (not counting street racing and whatnot..because that's life threatening as well, but so is walking across the street lol).

I think the reason why the car scene is so cool is because you meet other people on a common interest, and expand your horizons to possibly meet some good people. You should always elevate your company and surround yourself with people you want to be like or look up to. Helps keep your thoughts and priorities in check.

And actually bud, car's stock because I got in April 08. I haven't even broken 2000 miles yet. Actually, it's not stock, I got tint today lol. I'm also not married, but in a serious relationship with a wonderful girl who enjoys seeing me happy with my car and my mods. As long as we hold each other's end of the bargain for bills, we're on an even keel. If mods were to be putting myself behind in bills, then out of consideration, i'd hear about it. Otherwise, i'm free to do whatever i'd like.

The one thing that's nice in my situation is the fact that I am never content. I am never okay with being at a certain level. I'm always interested in improving myself, especially my financial status since you can never have "enough". Each time you do have enough, a new financial responsibility arises (house maintenance, car maintenance, new things pop up all the time, especially when I ever have kids..)

I'm not talking down on mods, i'm just basically saying maybe people should think things through with a little common sense sometimes (like someone else pointed out). And I agree with whoever said "People are having kids and teaching them their mistakes." I agree totally. If you raise a kid well now, they will make it so much better than the reckless generation we have now, especially that generation's children.
