people bashing on the msp

dude... we should like all get together... and Like Have a Rumble or something.... WESSCYDE !!

ughh it's a stupid flame war. I rather not waste my time on it. J/K. Those rsxers are going down!!! They only got power on the top end anyway. We got more torque and a broader powerband. Thus more forgiving at the track than a rsx.

i just wanna tell the rsx crowd that this is a stock turbo car. Buy an autometer boost gauge, and make a boost controller, for like 100 bucks, and run mid 14s int he quarter, and make probably 30 more hp than stock. id like to see an n/a car make that much hp for that little money. :)

Not syaing the RSX isnt a nice car, because it definately is!

Regardless... I Still say Call a Rumble ... they be trippin on yo set, Homey ... word

Hey...I would love to race an RSX ...I am running close to 200hp...

I'm with newf!

Who cares? Our MAZDASPEEDs are more unique than any other 'Super Compact' out there. Period!

for the most part... a lot of the people there, even the MODs agree that pound for pound, the MSP is a better deal ..... so no need to hate ... those who know agree... stand tall.. stand proud ...

now let's go set up a rumble

I'm about to post there just because I hate Honda's. But, I think I might start a world-wide rampag of fanboys and posers.

(big sigh) I must say... I'm dissapointed with myself. I just spent a good 10 minutes reading some mindless dribble from a bunch of RSX owners who think their names are spelled with a G-O-D. Get real!! Don't get me wrong, I WAS pleasantly surprised by a few of them... but there's usually a few cool guys on every board. (obviously we're ALL cool on this one) But seriously, what a waste of time. It reminded me of the time I argued about who would win in a fight between Superman and He-man!!! (I was in like 6th grade... ok ok!! it was last week! haha j/k) seriously... they wonder why they have such a bad reputation!! (hmm... maybe they're too stupid to wonder) The fact that these few guys care so much about who has the "better" car proves only one thing. They have tiny dicks. What else could it be??? I'm relatively new to this board, but I haven't seen too much of this go on thus far. Most of us keep things civil, bring up important, relavant information on our car in hopes of helping our fellow MSP owners out. THAT's what a message board like this is all about. Now sure... sometimes things get a little out of hand. I just got out of an absurd discussion on SRT-4s... essentially it was a misunderstanding. Me jokingly making fun of the SRT-4 was interpruted a bit more seriously than it should have... just like my desire to tune my car to levels that could match it's performance. A bad thing? I didn't think so! More of a sign of respect than anything else if you ask me. The bottom line is... It seems that we're a different breed. (compared to the RSX owners I just heard from at least) Maybe we're all a bit more secure with ourselves and our cars... secure enough not to bash the competition but instead, respect it. I've played football all my life... there were always that group of guys in the locker room who would go on and on about how much the other team sucks. Not surpisingly, they didn't make it very far. It's the smart player that respects the competition enough to want to emulate it's strong suits while exploiting its weaknesses in a strategic, intellegent manner that truly excels. I'd like to think that description epitomizes the typical MSP owner. If I wasn't proud to be a member of THIS community before I read some of their remarks... I am now. L8R

Hmm... second thought! Fuk it! Let's kick their ass!! Time to crank up the boost to 20 and smoke those ricers. We may not have a (working) car the next day... but at least we can say we beat them in a straight line!!

There is no reason to argue! I have owned 3 Acuras ( 1 I still have. A 93 GSR making 165 whp and 118 wtq) and I have to say the MSP is by far the best bang for the buck for perforance, hangling, look, everything! Looking at the dynos, this car is a lil underrated. It sould be rated at 175 HP and 175 TQ. Most of this Hondas only make 125 TQ at 7000 rpm!!! I never have to rev my car past 4k rpm in traffic to get it going, but thos Hondas don't move until 6k rpm!! Trust me, I know!! Driving a MSP is much more relaxed than driving a Honda/Acura with a 8000 rpm redline!
I have to admit one thing though, I don't think I would have bought the MSP if I would have known about the hesitation problem. I know there are ways to fix that with aftermarket support, but I want to wait until Mazda decides to have a fix for it because I like having my factory warranty in case that something happens. I remember the first RSX's have a similar problem that also was ECU related that made that car run like 0.5 sec slower than it was supposed to and Honda corrected that probelm right away with an ECU flash program. I remember going by the dealer and they were flashing all the cars in the lot.

A few things I like to point out to RSX-S owners:

Bang for the buck: Saved almost 5 grand on purchase price for a similarly equipped vehicle.
Functionality: I got a four door with a good sized trunk.
Insurance: I don't know about the rest of you, but my insurance company went by the VIN on the car and they think I'm driving a Protege ES. :) Much lower rates than they were going to charge me for a Type-S.
Performance: I drove the Type-S for a few hours and IMO the Speed is just as agile and I prefer the torque of the Speed. Running at 6000+ RPM all the time gets tiresome. Then of course there's the potential for higher performance from a turbo engine.

In short...... I LOVE MY MSP!!!!! (mspo)
