Passenger Side Rear Door Frame Drill Hole??

I just got a MS6 about a month ago. It is Mazda Certified Pre Owned with a clean Carfax and Autocheck. Today I noticed in the passenger side rear door frame a drill hole about 2/3 the way up. It was filled with some sealant. Any idea what thats about?
