5-14-04 Used "Buy it Now" option to purchase an IHI Turbo Charger on eBay.
Paid instantly via PayPal. Here's the link to the auction:

I sent an email to the seller requesting shipment date and tracking #.
No response from seller.
5-21-04
I sent the following email to the seller:

Dear auto_pro2004,
I sent you a message yesterday asking you to confirm shipment of this
item. I would appreciate it if you would please confirm shipment of the item, and if available, provide me with the tracking information for the shipment.

His response:
your package has been shipped by ups but i don`t do the shipping so i wait for my friend to give me the track nos

I still have not received my turbo and I'm starting to get worried. I called UPS and they cannot confirm anything without the tracking #. She did confirm that if the item was shipped via UPS ground that it would take 3 business days to get to me from the Chicago area.
I have always had good luck on eBay, and I always research the feedback for the seller before bidding. This guy has a good feedback rating (100%) but I'm still not comfortable with how this deal is playing out.
I'm considering sending the following to the seller:
I paid you instantly via Paypal when I used the "Buy it Now" option on your listing and it was my expectation that you would ship the item on the next business day. Since I purchased on a Friday (5/14/04), I assumed that you should have shipped the item on the following Monday (5/17/04). The location on the Auction listing says "Chicago", roughly 11 hours North of here. It should not take more than 3-4 days for an item shipped via UPS Ground from the Chicago area to make the 700 mile journey. I have spoken with UPS customer service and confirmed the approximate shipping time from Chicago to zip code 72903 to be 3 business days.

I need to know specifically when this item was shipped, and the tracking # for the item. If you cannot or will not provide me with this information and I do not receive the item by this Friday (5/28/04) I will be forced to file a fraud claim with eBay, PayPal, and my bank.

What do you guys think? Am I just being paranoid or unreasonable in my expectations?

I know what you mean man..., I hate it when sellers just say "ok item shipped" and dont provide you with any info. I usually dont expect my item to get shipped out the very next day, but usually the seller is good about doing that. Good luck, and I hope you get your turbo in soon.

Why are you buying a cheap turbo anyway? but just file a claim and ebay will get after him, plus they will give you some of the money back...
