painted my valve cover today

How long did you wait for the paint to cure and put it back onto the car?

I just waited about 2 hours and was careful when putting it on. Started the car and let it warm up a little. Didn't drive it for 6 hours or so

Take a big file and go over the lettering with it now (filing the paint off). It will come up real shiny and look good on the silver IMO.
