2003 Laser Blue P5
Ok, so I'm thinking about re-painting the calipers on my Laser Blue P5. They're currently blue, but I'm thinking about going to red this time. Anyone seen this combo before or have pics? I'm not quite sure how it would look. Thanks.

If you want flashy stay with blue or go with yellow. For more conservative go for a nice silver or black. IMO, red on blue cars does not look right.

I have to agree with Magnum. I would go with yellow if you are looking to stand out. Or you could go orange like iLisa did on her midnight blue P5.

I would say slvr or black on blue car. I have black caliper paint going on my silver car with silver rims & black lugs & blue rays valve stems.

I actually have red-painted calipers on my laser blue P5. I got it like that when I bought it , about a year ago.

IMO, it looks good, it's not as flashy as yellow would be, but it's not as discrete as grey or black would be, and it gives off a nice-looking contrast.

Here's two pics, and yeah I know my car's dirty :( but it was winter and I had just driven it home from its previous owner :)

Let me know what decision you're gonna make.

I want a garage that big. Damn is that your garage or a shared one. doesn't look like an apartment garage due to the door behind your car. I need somethin like that for all my s***. Hell, the wife could even park in there too. lol

I vote RED. I don't have any good pictures of my red calipers on my laser blue Protege hosted.

What ever you do make sure to use the paint on caliper paint, not the spray caliper paint. It is way easier to do

I was just contemplating this. I'm getting new black wheels with a chrome lip on my laser blue tonight. Don't know what color. I saw in the mazda5 section a guy did his black with a white mazda decal. Looked hot! I'm partial to red, but, am also thinking silver. I DEF! have to paint my rotors if I'm doing this. Rust is not pretty. I might just do everything black. Keep it dark and shady

When I get my brake upgrade I am likely to go with black painted calipers with a white 'Mazda' logo. With 16x7 gold wheels it's going to look great.

Here's some of the pics from the Mazda5 section

If those are vinyl mazda decals, I am amazed they were able to stick to the caliper. If they arent, what are they?

You'd have to check with the guys in the 5 section. I just copied the pics for color referance

ive got a msp in blue and it has silver painted calipers, i would say that red would look nice, what is your color scheme for the rest of the car? if you did engine dressup kit i would say do that color.

I think that if you want something that sticks out a lot, red is fine. Just don't use a red that's too bright, use something a little darker. If you look at the rear of a P5, the color combination of blue with the red/silver taillights looks pretty good and I think the same could work on the wheels.

Actually, it IS a shared apartment garage. If it were my own, it would mean I own at least 5 cars, from those pics. I wouldn't mind, but it's not the case :)
