Paint is all screwed up

Glad its working out for you. On glass I find it works best with using an ultra fine piece of steel wool(will not scratch) along with the thinner.

Yep that is the number. Its super fine and not ultra fine. I keep a bag of these in my car to clean of the bug guts during love bug season. You can use them dry or wet when cleaning glass spots.

acetone or brake cleaner will take it off without messing up ur paint but it if u use acetone it will eat the wax off too so brake cleaner would be my best bet

I'm sure all of those strong cleaners take the wax right off. Just reapply when done.
