What is this?!

Let me describe the damage, maybe someelse has it too:

-It is on the right side of the front bumper under the fog light, little to right.
-It is like very fine white scratches, so fine you can't feel them, they feel smooth!
-Looks like a scrape, but I didn't scrape anything! I has just been in my driveway for 3 weeks!(I'm at college)

Same exact type of scratch on the rear bumper in the left, lower by the exhaust.

Also, the top of my exhaust is like scratched to HELL! WTF?
:wtf:

Anyone else have this problem? I tried using a rubbing compound or something to get rid of it, did not work. Any suggestions??? I really don't want to have to repaint the car!!!

Oh yeah, i nudged a pole(0 mph) it more like a neutral roll of like 1 cm, I parked to close to the pole in a spot by a store(forgot I was new to manual!) and when i shifted into reverse I nudged the pole, no visible damage at all.

BUT when you look at it from the side at and angle, you see a discoloration. WTF is that?

I know I suck at manual(first one, been driving auto for 3 yrs, never going back to auto!), but come on! 4 scartches in a month? With the scare sitting there in my drive way? Any help on trying to remove the blemishes from the paint?

This is why I hate black cars!! You see ALL the nicks and scratches lol.

Thanks a bunch guys!

E Man:eek:

i have the scratches on the top of my exhaust

kinda bothers me since i noticed it. I tried moving the exhaust up to see if it was rubbing on the rear valence as would appear to be the case but that doesnt seemt o be the problem. I wonder if the scratches where there when I got it new.

egh......

i have an 8in crack in my windshield if that makes anyone feel better

No its not, they said 'something hit it'...there is a microscopic frickin little speck that they think is proof that something hit it...But its pretty strange that the crack is the same as others that have been described as 'stress cracks'

If something did hit it, which I doubt, then I'll fix it...but if my dealer knows about these weak windshields and they're lying to me, I'm gonna go there and b**** slap the service manager...

I know, but what can I do...I tried to argue with him...but he didn't budge. He said he could have someone else look at it, but he's the service manager, whatever he says goes, regardless of who else looks at it...

sorry to hijack the thread..but back to the topic...I haven't noticed any paint damage yet...maybe I should go do a walkaround on the car...

Be glad you have a black car. All the paint chips from rocks on my hood show up real nice on my yellow car.

when i purchased my orange speed I didn't but the first one cause of some little scratches all over but most of all scratches on top of the muffler tip and really bothered me. So I chose another orange one with no scratches at all..

WOW. english please?!

If rubbing compound didn't get it out, it sounds like it is in the actual paint, not in the top layer clearcoat. If that is the case, I would say either:

A) It was like that from the factory

B) When you "tapped" something it bent the plastic underneath and flexed, and the paint cracked.

Well Im old, pissed, and a touch psychotic so I'd bet that sorry bastard would fix mine. I hate those worthless fuckers trying get out of warranty coverage. Especially since I have the extended warranty. Of course mine hasn't cracked but if it did ooooo I would be fuming.
Oh well rant over.
