I have a black 2016 GT. The chrome portion of the 2016 GT OEM rims have always bugged me a little. Was wondering if anyone has pictures of the OEM rims painted all black, or thought about the best way to go about this?

Thanks.

The best result and longevity would be with a professional respray or powdercoat.

The cheapest and reversible way would probably be the PLASTI-DIP method.

Is that your CX-5? Do you have a close up of the black GT wheel? Curious to see how it looks. The picture is a bit too dark to see the detail and I'm tempted to paint mine black too.

Use plastidip first then decide whether you like all black or not. Plastidip is easy to apply and remove so don't worry.

When and if you do plastidip, make sure you are applying even coats/multiple coats. I've encountered where previous owner sprayed the wheels, and in some areas it was light coats and it was a PIA to remove.

No, sorry, this is not mine, just a picture that came up when I googled what the original poster was looking for...
