p5 vs. p5

i was driving along route 611 north in horsham, pa when i saw a p5 coming the other way and as i went by it i saw that it had some mods, and i wasn't doing anything anyway so i decided to pull a u-turn and go after him, caught up to him and we gave each other the nod and we went from a 30mph roll, i just pulled so hard it was awesome, then as we were cruising and we talked at a light and told each other our mods. it was fun, but the thing is i have no idea who this guy is, i mean i drive around aimlessly all the time cause i just love driving my p5. it was a silver p5 with the wings west body kit, 16 or 17" gunmetal wheels, intake and exhaust, and a two gauge, gauge pod.

i have 10:7/1 compression pistons, Japanese spec cams, warm air intake, unorthodox underdrive main pulley, short throw shifter, racing mazda header, and custom 2" exhaust soon to be 2 1/4, and some significant weight reduction and i am looking to get a lightweight flywheel and a better clutch this summer, and definetly some lighter wheels cause mine right now are 26 lbs apiece and thats just the wheel

nice list of mods there, mac - if you are looking for a lighter flywheel and heavy duty clutch, be sure to check out SR Motorsports and Mitch at protege5online.com - some good deals to be had there.

where you get those high compression pistons, how much and do they make a good difference?

i noticed a whole bunch from the seat of my pants when i put the crank pulley but that may be because i have no power steering or a/c or anything that goes with either of them but i am sure you will notice at least a little, no i have ot dynoed my car yet, maybe thats what i will do this weekend. i got the high comp pistons from corksport, they were i think about 150 for all four, but you will need new piston rings to go along with that, and i did all the work myself so i don't know how much it would cost to install the pistons

the guy your talking about is mark, i know him, well not all the way know him but i met up with him a couple of times at local meets. that pretty much the only guy i know that has the wings west body kit.
