P5 vs ES seats?

Are the leather P5 seats any better bolstered than the ES seats? I was looking into getting Katzkin leather on my stock ES seats but they're not particularly deeply bolstered.

If anyone has any suggestions about seat replacements (not racing seats, but deeper thigh and side bolsters), please let me know.

Protege5 seats are the exact same as ES seats.

have you checked out the rx8 yet? they have awesome seats. those might be a good swap, but theyll probably cost ya a bit.

Does anyone know if the RX8 seats are a simple swap? I could always look at recyclers....

i doubt any auto recyclers will have their hands on an rx8 yet. youll probably have to get them from the dealer, which means $$$. probably cheaper to go on ebay and see if any rx8 owners have replaced their seats yet and are selling the old ones. in fact, theres tons of seats on ebay for cheap, no telling what quality they are til you get them tho. thats the only reason i dont do the whole ebay thing, too many ripoffs.

FYI - I just checked with Mazdastuff and the list price is $3000 each for RX-8 seats! (screwy)

I'm going to look at 3rd party seats but I'd like to upgrade the interior to better seats.

I think if you just leather over the ES seats, they might get even more slippery - anyone else have ES/P5 leather seats?

I'd definitely go with good aftermarket seats - ALL Protege's seats suck imo. Seats are on my "when I fall into some money" list, as they aren't exactly my top priority.

Same here. I've been dying to get my hands on a pair of Tenzo R Rally seats now. Just no money to do so.

rx8 swap would be tru rice, you have the rotary symbol in the seat on a 4 banger car
