P5 versus Chrysler 300M

Okay. So here's a race the P5 won!

Coming back to work from lunch, I always take some backroads from the beach (yes. I work near the Beach!). So, as I was leaving a stop sign, a Chrysler 300M came barreling up behind me and began filling my rear view mirrors. I shifted up to third and the 300M jumped to the left lane to pass (we had 2 lanes our way). I decided to answer its challenge so I went to WOT and my P5 started accelerating passed 5k. At first I was almost side by side with the 300M but when the P5's engine got up to speed I started to pull away just a tad. We approached a 90 degree right hand turn so we began to slow down, but of course I could take the turn faster than the 300M so I pulled a 2 car gap under braking before the corner. I knew the 300M was gonna try to take me on the next straight which was a long uphill. So, I slammed the shifter to 2nd, got around the corner and as soon as I had traction I went to WOT again. The 300M started closing the gap slightly as the P5 passed 5k RPM which was when I started to pull away. Again, not too much but just enough so that I pulled further and further away. I guess the driver of the 300M gave up 'cause after that he just stayed way back there.

Sounds fun! I wish i could do a little racing during my lunch break haha... The 300M is a boat in comparison ... but a race is a race and if u have a protege u love to drive!!!

Wow, you to too. I raced one of them a couple of months ago at like 2 in the morning. I won, I got him on shear top speed. He topped out at about 115, I could hear the motor bounce off the rev limiter as the governor shut it off..

Yeah. It's a big freakin' car alright. But it's suppose to have a 258 bhp V6 and sport suspension. Looks nice too.

ive had to hold off on racing for a while. I just got a ticket for 83 in a 60.. i wasnt even intentionally speeding. i just pulled onto the highway at night and hit cruse control.. and outa nowhere a statetrooper was on my ass.. i had a few nice races before that ticket. the P5 does pretty good for being a bit underpowered... i have now invested in a radar/laser detector and constantly watch my ass for cops and troopers...

has anyone taken defensive driving online? how is it?

The 300M will be even more powerful - the next redesign has it switching to rear wheel drive and a hemispherical head engine (HEMI!) v8 no less. But yeah, as it stands they are pretty fast for a bilge barge.

I took Defensive Driving online. It is easy as hell, and there's no lame instuctor to listen to, just alot of reading, and stupid video questions, and the Final is a joke. It's worth the $40 if you get a good insurance drop like i did
