P5 rear strut tower bar?

I know it would get in the way of any "true" storage, but I am wondering if there are any rear strut tower bars available (other than custom made).

Also, what about a-arm braces?

Coming out the Nissan camp here and the 200SX/240SX had these available.

Any thoughts? I tried searching but was getting results for rear sway bars and struts...

a-arm braces

if i am not mistaken a-arm braces are uneccessary on a p5 cause they are already braced to the body. But let me know about the rear strut braces...i am very interested

yes they do make a rear upper strut bar. I believe what Rishie is talking about is the rear upper strut bar from Autoexe. You lucky Wagon owners get the opportunity to own a one..It wont fit on the sedan, because the struts are crammed into the rear dash. However, I haven't had much luck with doing business with R&D but maybe it's because I was ordering OEM??? Anyway, Good luck.

OK; thanks for the answere and feedback. I wasn't sure about the a-arms as I am coming off the Nissan familia and [we] had the option of getting braces for the a-arms; made a world of difference. But then, considering how firm the Pro5 is, I could imagine that they are braced somehow.

I am interested in the rear brace because I do have a "wagon"; again, only certain Nissan's were able to accept a rear-brace, so I think that having that option would be great!

Any idea on pricing?

Your mixing apples and oranges it's a mazda familia. You do know you drive a mazda don't you?

Yeah, I'm also Greek and "familia" in Greek (as in Spanish) means "family"; I am aware that there is a Mazda Familia model line....didn't mean to mix mangos and guavas....er, apples and oranges...

get a custom one. probably cheaper and if it's designed like mine, i can take it out in 1 minute flat and i've got the whole boot area free for storage. mine cost $300australian dollars - with the dollar rate at the moment that's about $195usd...just to give you an idea

Sweet pics; not sure I want/need the subframe rigidity.

APCs Part Numbers for the bar are:

52037RJ
Mazda Protege 5 01-Up Stainless Steel Strut Tower Bar Raw Finish Rear RJ

652037RJG
Mazda Protege 5 01-Up Steel Strut Tower Bar Gun Metal Rear Raw

Going to go look for pricing now...as much as I really, really, really don't want an APC product

some times I swear you guys are ******* retarted .. I mean Jesus ******* christ .. has APC ever made a part that was faulty for your car .. or have they made a product that wasnt what they said it was ... I mean really ... I am soo ******* tired of you ****** whinny babies comming on here and griping about APC when . you cant come up with 1 honest reason why there stuff is soo bad ... BTW this is not just you two .. this is for evey one on here that cries about it as well ... I mean I have the APC M3 CF mirrors and you know what ... they look good, they hold up to all weather, blue tinted anti-glare mirrors like the BMWs. I could go on and on. now ok so they make strut tower bars too .. i mean how many ways can you make one .. for our car .. I mean s*** ..it is a peice of steel or Aluminum with two brackets/ flanges on the ends .. how hard is it really to make it sooo bad .. think about it . and honestly.. those mirrors are the only Item I have from APC ... but I have seen and installed many other APC parts amd products b4 ... and anyone here that has the APC cf hood would tell you that there quality is just as good as one other hoods .... end of rant

yeah good rant ;) but you're right...i think the problem with apc is that they make lots of product. i dont want any of their products, i'd rather have my own made up...just to keep that individual looks (that's why i dont like chrome altezzas...everyone has them)

Hahahahahaha.... Easy easy! I just don't like APC because around my town ALLLLLLLLLLL the ricers use APC products(and like to proclaim their use through gigantic stickers).. I honestly don't know anything about APC quality first hand. I just know that they make a large variety of cosmetic parts, which leads me to believe that they are not really focused on performance. So I don't really trust what they say about their performance oriented stuff... but I agree with you that it shouldnt be that hard to make a brace... which is exactly why I would rather do it myself.
