Interesting side note re: the P5 and IS300....one of the designers of the IS body also designed the P5, it was in a R&T a while ago.
Speaking of pintos reminded me. One of the first drivers I ever worked for (I was 15, what a dream job) raced SCCA. He had a 79 ford pinto (i think 79) and had dropped a chevy 350 in it with a ford 9 rear end, with all the N/A mods assoc. w/ that motor. Apart from a few stickers and a rollbar, unless you looked closely at suspension, you couldnt tell from pulling up next to it that it was tricked. Jim (the owner) drove it to all the races, Putnam Park, Elkhart Lake. He'd pull up at a light and burn just about anything sitting next to him. It was pure pleasure to watch the looks of incredulity, I mean these people were seriously freaked out.

I decide to take a look and the guy behind the counter tells me what a sweet car the protege5 is. We talked about it's benefits for like 20 minutes. And he's got a 12 second Eclipse!
Whenever I park out front all the lowered hondas/toyotas/sunfires park on either side of me. I guess to look cool, when I lower mine they'll look even cooler.

Don't get me wrong, Gremlins are cool and all, but they look like a car that someone took a sledge to the back end and chopped it off. I think essentially it was an AMC Hornet with "no ass" mechanically. The last classic car show I went to had a slew of Gremlins fitted with Chevy small blocks. Whack.
Now I'm in the mood...I could have said Edsel. Damn were those things FUGLY.

I think the Protege 5 is the best looking sport wagon there is. I fell in love with it when I saw it for the first time in Gran Turismo 2...
Then when I saw at the Denver Auto Show I knew I had to have one. But then I got the MP3...Would have gotten the Protege 5 if I hadn't seen the MP3 at the dealer.

Yeah, it was the 323 Sport Wagon, I think. It looks just like the Protege 5 though...I knew exactly what it was when I saw at the car show before I even saw the name on it.
