Hello,
Before you get annoyed i did a forum search on this subject and couldnt find a good enough answer.
Has anyone put a class 1 hitch on their P5 and towed up to 700-1000 lbs? I know Mazda says no towing period. But why? and is that realistic?
My fam has a real small trailer called a tear drop, im not sure but i think its probly bout 600lbs and i need to know if i should bother spending $250 to get a hitch.
Thanks

Go ahead. I had one on mine and towed a small trailer and a 16ft motorboat. No issues.

"TheWrench" has towed a trailer with his, no problems reported. This is not the section to post this in, unless you're trying to buy a hitch from Protege Garage, BTW.

A transmission oil cooler might be good idea if you have an auto.

I had a custom one on mine before anyone made one for the car. Biggest thing I towed was a 10ft enclosed trailer (empty). Looked like a sneaker pulling a shoebox and the drag was, well, a drag.
