P1250 - Pressure Regulator Control Solenoid Circuit

Bored at my work last night and decided to play with the OBDII
No, check engine light was not on and still is not. But apparently I'm throwing a code. Anyone make any sense of it? lol Appears the P5 feels it's not a huge issue so I erased it and continued as if everything was normal hahah

Sets when the PCM detects an unexpected "low" voltage condition on the circuit. Its a comprehensive test but runs once a cycle, 1 trip code.If its like any other "circuit" code, confirm good power and ground and your probably dealing with a intermittent solenoid. Then again, if it hasn't set a MIL and it doesn't come right back on a restart (being comprehensive), I wouldn't worry about it.

Clear the code, if it comes right back, you most likely have a mechanical problem with the solenoid, provided power and ground are ok at the solenoid. If it doesn't come back, don't worry about it, especially if it has yet to set off the light.

I did erase it. Still no cel. So I'll just keep my eye on it. Probably hook it up again next time im into work. thanks for the help though man

the pressure control solenoid controls the softness or firmness when the car up or down shifts.when the toyotas at work show that code, the techs usually take the solenoid and valve body out and clean them.if the code doesent clear after that, they usually end up putting a tranny in the vehicle.

ok i know i know this is a bump from the dead (i never do this) but i actually have the same problem.
no cel, yet when i was playing around with the bluetooth adapter and Torque app, it pulled up the P1250.

does anyone else have any incite?

from page 01-02B-128 of the factory shop manual...

POSSIBLE CAUSE
• PRC solenoid valve malfunction
• Connector or terminal malfunction
• Short to ground in wiring between PRC solenoid valve terminal B and PCM terminal 95
• Open circuit in wiring between main relay terminal D and PRC solenoid valve terminal A
• Open circuit in wiring between PRC solenoid valve terminal B and PCM terminal 95
• Short to power circuit between PRC solenoid valve terminal B and PCM terminal 95
• PCM malfunction

i'm starting to think the shop manual download should be a prerequisite to registering on this site.

Ive read that already and was hoping more of a forward answer like when people say they have a bouncing idle affter.acceleration its usually always egr.

I cleared it and it came back the second time i turned it on... and yet the actual light doesn't come on. should i really worry about it too much?
