Vehicle is 2004 M3 Hatch 2.3L Auto. Recieving a p0715. Clear codes then go for a drive, shifting ok for around 5 km's or so, complete's the drive cycle then while cruising in 4th gear, hunts for a gear then gives off a bang (shift shock) drops a gear, turns on the mil and a/t light similtaneously. p0715 returns. Are these cars bad for input speed sensors? I realize that I need to measure the resistance of the sensor and verify the wiring is good but... just looking for feedback as to others' experience with this trouble code. Thank you in adavnce.
