Here are some pics of my country's new Ford Tierra. Virtually it is same gene as Protege here in the U.S. Taiwan Ford finally introduces Manual Transmission to public. (That's right, Automatic Tranny is the only choice before this RS model.) And please do not be surprised that the Momo like steering wheel is stock. Manufactures are allowed to sell vehicles without Air Bags. But I love it though.:p Also I like the killer looking 2-Din Steoreo plate. Although I can't see seats exactly, I believe they are also Recaro or Sparco made. Do you like it?

I want those headlights if they fit?

I was thinking the same thing about the tail lights. THat is a protege, same interior with slight mods but not much. And I don't car much for that huge radio in it. But the steering wheel looks bad ass. Yeah your right those headlights are awesome, but they look a little different to me. maybe just the angle though.

whoa, i want the tailights, and the headlights, and the shift nobb, and the seats, and the back bumper lip, and the....

aw hell, just send me to taiwan and ill bring back 5 for us to part out.

Major Feature: ABS, EBD, Momo Steering Wheel, Recaro Power Driver and Front Passenger Seat, Moonroof.

I'll post other specs later on coz I need to convert the unit and translate words...

i cant tell, are those headlights the exact same form as the p5? like the same shape and everything? what about the taillights? are those the same as the mp3/msp?

the tails look identical, but the headlights look like they'd need modifications to fit, same car though...i dont like the solid radio trim, but the rest is cool.

Length 176.0 in
Width 66.5 in
Height 55.9 in
Wheelbase 102.8 in

Curb Weight 2830 lb

Suspension Same as MP3 and Mazdaspeed Protege
Tire Size 205/50/16

I also think the head units are not same as ours. But I am not sure tail lights will fit or not. As soon as I can get information, I'll let you guys know...if you are still interested at that time...

The tail lights look like they might fit OK, but the reverse lights are surrounding the license plate, so you might have to do something creative so you have reverse lights.

I think there's reverse lights in the tail lights too. See the little round silver spots below the yellow one. But not sure. We'll just have to wait for confirmation from mx6929. Aren't factory tail lights like $250 a piece though? It'd be expensive to get a set of those sombitches.

Yeah, that would be cool if there are reverse lights in the tail lights too. Maybe the tail lights might not be as expensive as we think, since it is cheaper to mass produce stuff in Taiwan. But then again, after you pay to import them, it prolly won't be worth the hassle.

I still cannot contact anyone who knows more information in Taiwan since it was introduced only few weeks ago. But I'll keep emailing to see if anyone can confirm the compatibility and the price. Last time I went back and looked around the tuner shop, the Altezza tail lights for Protege is around $150/pair. It might give you some clues of how much should stock RS tails be since we usually have stock parts cheaper than mods. But I have to make sure though...

I'm sorry...I know this is off topic, but I need your suggestions. My girl's 99' 626 had a engine check light on few days ago. Because we bought it used for communting to her school, we never went back to dealer to have it service. But I am not sure this time if any shop can solve this coz it might need a computer to diagnosis what's the problem. Thanks gus! ;)

Nice looking car.

The headlights are probably the xenon gas discharge headlights on the Familia...

And is the MP3 suspension, or the Mazdaspeed Protege suspension. They are different.

Those headlights are swwwwwweeeeetttttttt. I like the look of the car but like the NUKE said it is just a rebadged mazda. Some nice parts though....seats, steering wheel, shift knob, radio, HEADLIGHTS
