Other cars vs Mazdaspeed3 experience?

2007 Mazdaspeed3
I have a '94 TBird LX (V8), original owner. Babied that bee-yotch. 74k miles on her, in a garage. Every day I'm amazed at how much is available for my mzdsp3. I've been trying to tune my bird since it came out, and the best I could ever do was buy Cobra parts and machine them to fit the bird. You'd think that the Ford representative entry into Nascar would have more aftermarket parts available, but noooooo.

I love my sp3! Whole other driving experience from my junk-in-her-trunk TBird with RWD V8. I've gotten that chipped, dropped in a .373 rear end, have a CAI, upped wheels to 18" with Firehawks, and a Cobra supercharger hella-retrofitted. The bird is sloppy and over-powered and like wrestling with death or destruction - an old school Metallica song made machine. 3 is like a finely tuned cheetah who was bred for speed and lives to please, like a great trance CD on some smacky UFOs.

Anyone else have other cars and care to share your experiences/oddly chosen metaphors? :)

The Speed3 can't compare to my reworked mustang's handling, launching, acceleration or braking wise, but it's still a fun little car, and I can shove far more junk into that than my GT and Camaro. It's the perfect cross between my Mustang's performance and my wife's SUV's utility, while providing gas mileage comparable to my ZX3 Focus's. I know Mazda prides themselves on well rounded products and they hit the bullseye with this one.

My old P5 felt like it could handle just a bit better than my spd3.. but nothing can compare to the fun i have with this car.. blowing by modded hondas while im still stock is fun as hell.. lol :D

It doesn't fill up with water when it rains nor do I get to play "which dash light will it be today"?!

F you VW. F you in the eye.

Just my last one. An MKIV. I've had nothing but good experiences with the Mk1-MK3 line. I still have love for air cooleds though.

LMFAO.. Are VW's really that bad?

i worked at a VW dealership for while. we sold VW, subie, and hyundai. there were about 20 bays in the shop. 10 on each side. 5 for subie and hyundai. and a whole side of 10 for VW. what does that tell you. jetta's and beetles were towed in one after the other.

i had a 2000 GTI VR6 for 7 years and loved every day of it, till traded it for my MS3. Now i have the 3 and although i love it to death, i wish i had my Vw due to the fact it was PAID FOR.

As for my other ride, its a 2.3 turbo SVO and i love it too. could be good on gas if i drove it nice (hardly happens) LAUNCHES LIKE A ***** APE and is a blast. most of my money is in this junker, but i love it.

MS3 is a good split between my stang and my wifes SUV. IF i could do it over again though, i would have kept my VW. I hate having a car payment, it cut into my play money for the stang :(

They're similiar in displacement and the fact that they're FI. That's about it. The SVO's were meant as BMW competition back in the mid 1980's. 4banger, do you have any pictures of yours? I love those cars.

2001 Ford ZX3 Focus.... parked outside....needs about 500.00 work and some elbow grease in the garage, and it'll be good as new.... minus a retouch up on the front bumper?

Speed3, is a MAJOR upgrade from that to this..lol

my 1992 cadillac sedan deville was the most comfortable thing i ever drove in....this mazda is comfortable, and is alot funner to drive. ill always love cadillacs.

i went from a 92 isuzu pickup (big piece o' turd) that when i went to the dealership it was on its last legs literaly it wasn't leaving on its own power... though they didn't know that... took the sales men 3 hours to try and drive it to the back when i left... lol...

I traded in my 1996 Jaguar Vandenplas that had 147,000 believe it or not maintenance free miles on it. Probably the smoothest riding easy driving car I have ever had. I went for good fuel economy & FUN with the MSP3. Not quite the solid feel of the Jag. but a lot more fun.....and alot less $$$!!

The MSP3 is parked in the garage next to a Solstice GXP. Another fun ride, but a lot less practical. The GXP is getting a BSR Tune tomorrow. Going from 260HP to approx. 312(drive2)

Sitting in the driveway is a lifted, armored 05 Unlimited Rubicon. Terrible ride, lousy gas mileage but can generate quite an adrenaline rush at 3 mph in the right situations.

It sits next to a 26' ex uhaul truck that has been converted into a Redneck Jeep hauler (one inside and one behind)/ workshop /camper!

Just a Redneck motorhead. Yes... it is a sickness(evil)
