Ordered The Bosal Header

I ordered it today. The guy at Mazdamotorsports said it would bolt up to the block and the only thing that should have to be modified is the stock exhaust. I will get it installed and have the shop do a custom pipe and high flow cat and new muffler.

I will let you guys know how it goes.

is it a shorty header or does it get ride of the cat. also how so you have to modify the exhaust. im guess since the exhaust has to be modified that is a long header

It is not a shorty. What did you pay? You seem to not be worried about money.

The Bosal will eliminate the pre-cat which is what NC is hoping for anyways considering the mods he's done. Good luck. Ignore my e-mail then.

Paid $272 + S/H for it from Mazdamotorsports.com.

You have to modify the exhaust cause the header will not bolt right up to the stock exhaust pipe that comes out of the first cat. I am sure it is a diff size and prolly a diff flange. I am getting the exhaust done from the header back with an aftermarket cat under the car and an aftermarket muffler.

Will test fit it once it gets here and post pics and all that good stuff.

I can get it for you for $20.00 less. I hope this will open your guys' eyes to looking for parts through your forum provider. We are heavily trying to bridge the gap between consumer info. and product sales. This will allow you to go to one place to do all you stuff.

What we really needto know is what you will do with the O2 sensors that are in the pre-cat. THis wiring diagram would be key for the fellas. Good luck. I will be getting mine in a month or so. Please indicate which hi-flow cat you will be using. TIA.

Will our cars pass the emissions test with the header and no pre-cat. Just concerned because the emissions in Mass suck.

The Bosal header is on mazdamotorsports website. Go to the 2.0 L DOHC section. It is right there. It lists it as being for a MX-6 and 626.

I have no clue if the header will pass emissions or not. My guess is if you still have the cat under the car then it should.
