Optitron gauges

Can someone post pictures of the instrument cluster with and without the optitron lighting. Many thanks!

I beleve its the eluminescent ones he's refering to... when off they are black and when on they are exactly like the raido/time and odometer display as in light intencity and if you look on the cluster there is it's own seperate dimmer knob on left between temp and tach gauges. someone will find pictures in a sec...

Ya that's what I mean, they are called optitron here in Canada.

I heard you could order a set and a dealership could reset the odometer to your actual mileage . someone please pm me if they had this done cause I wanna get rid of my plain gauges!

some people from 6club have had this done however I beleive it would be much cheper to find some from a junkyard or maybe even on e-bay. I would also ask your dealer if they can do this for you before buying them

ever heard of the policy of "NO"...they practice this here for some odd reason(notcool) they didn't even want to even do a wds update for warrenty reasons?

pretty crazy you think they would do this for since they could charge you for it, its not like its warranty work or anything

OMG, in MPH gauge it looks so good, you have no idea, here in Canada the gauges are in km/h duh, lol. So there are soo mucg more numbers and soo much more red attacking your eyes, and it makes it hard to look sometimes, but I also want to see a pic without the electroluminiscent gauges. Thnx Da 6!

OMG, the top gauges look soo good, how can I get that on my Mazda 6 when I get it later this summer, early fall.

you like the top ones (chair) ? those are the base ones

I think(Hope) he is refering to the firs set of picts I posted..(boom01) but then again he might not like the el gages....the us gauges have km/h as well but in small typing...I'm so used to MPH I rarely ever remember Km/h is even there!

The pod has nothing to do with the mileage, it is store elsewhere so no resetting needed. And a dealer should be able to do it since it is a option on the car to begin with, but it will cost you a pretty penny.

mileage is usualy kept in the pcm and cluster both...

Are you kidding, they look even better than the optitron gauges. Man, I guess I will be taking out the GFX package. I dont know, I just dont like the red that much, I like it when there is more contrast.

well those still light up red just only when you have the lights on the EL not optitron gauges light up always and go straight black with the car off

They light up red but with more contrast.
