Optional Interior Mirror

When I was out to purchase my p5, I wanted the mirror as well.
I wasn't too concerned about the auto dimming feature but thought it would be cool to have a compass built in.
Unfortunately the car that I bought didn't have it. But to be honest, I don't miss it one bit. And for the compass... well I bought a radar detector for under $100 that has one built in.
So my thoughts would be save your money and go without it.
Just think what that $350 would have landed you if you invested in Microsoft back in the 70's

The c5's have those, I don't like looking through them. The colors are different, it was just distracting to me that way

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

as for the mirror....save your money.....its a bell and a whistle you can really do without.....how often do you REALLY need to know which direction (North, South, East, or West) you are driving...and as for the outside temp? OPEN A WINDOW!!! LOL if its hot ....you will know it....if its cold...you will know that too...most likely unless you are dead from the neck up....you will know what its like outside already....as you had to be outside to get into your car! lol

I just wanted it for the outside temp guage which is handy if you are highway driving when its near the freezing point.
I am going to go test drive one this week, i'm anxious to see if it does lack power since i read a lot of people complaining about that, but i'm used to a 3 cylinder so any engine is better right now lol

I got the mirror when I bought the car and I will tell you one thing that makes the purchase worth every penny...
One day some guy cut me off by like an inch and sprayed gravel all over my month old baby. So I decided to return the favor so I cut him off and sprayed him. Next thing I see is his lights getting darker purple... He was flashing his high beams like an idiot and I didnt notice a difference in intensity. So wether you have some idiot flashing you, or some idiot who just isn't sure what the little blue light on his instrument cluster means it is a wicked thing. Also living in Canada on long road trips i.e. snowboarding in the mountains it is nice ti know the outside temp to gauge your driving speed without opening the windows.
