K, so I'm getting sick of my automatic P5. I need more speed.:) So, what do you guys think of the X-Type? (I know, its not FAST..but anything is better than this right now) They seem to be reasonably priced for the mileage, and several used ones have remaining 100,000 mile warranties. I haven't found any big issues with them from searching...just normal little things that ever car is prone too. As for the 2.5 or 3.0, that depends on insurance. I'm liking the silver and black ones! Whatcha think?

I like the looks, but I'd have to know the price and the performance. There are so many cars to chose from now days.

But yes, they are nice.

which engine was jaguar having issues with the timing belt (think it was a timing belt, Im gonna have to pull that R&T article) where the plastic tensioners were giving way causing head damage due to the interference type motor.

I just dont remember which motor it was, but look into that.

other than that, Im not a huge fan of jaguars, but theyve gotten tons better with reliability as of late.

My thing is depending on the price I'd rather get a 230 sport mercades (?) then the jag. Those 230's look sweet 200hp rwd!

its no taurus. Its a Mondeo/Contour. I was looking at the AWD 2.5 Sport in RED myself before going with the MSP again. If I wasn't into autox/rallyx and trackdays I probably would of gotten one.

If you are sick of your auto P5, how about my car...

There are better cars for whatever money you are going to spend. To a certain degree, the price of the Jag reflects the well deserved low value these cars represent used. There are probably a few major relaibility concerns and many many minor things that go wrong or wear out. In a Jag X-type they break or wear out much faster then the average car. And i don't think the insurance will be cheap either.

So, more money + auto = Mazda6 V6

Good luck

not a good buy from a reliability standpoint whatsoever. very heavy car for its engine. looks nice. more ford than jaguar. no complete sentences in this post.
