"Open" Euro tail light unit

Any suggestion on how to "open" the Euro (Altezza) tail light unit? I have doubts in putting it in the oven since there are so many plastic parts....

heat gun or embossing tools on the seal. The altezzas plastic is real thin tho so it will take real delicate work.

Heat the seal edges for about 20-30 minutes with a heatgun, yes, that long, and then it should pull apart, if you don't do it long enough you may break off the plastic cover.

Hair dryer will work. It will just take longer. That is how I cracked open my headlights on my previous car.

1. start fire in fireplace
2. throw "euro" (i hate when tehy call them this) tail light in
3. watch it melt and smoke

just kidding.. to each his own -=)

micro wave on high for 60 secs.

then buy a new microwave cuz you forgot to take out a screw and fried your fuses

when someone gonna come out with CF tails for protege... :(

They have CF tails for the protege. APC. I opened up my APCs two weeks ago. I put them in the oven on 250 for 10 minutes, and pulled them apart. One is sanded, and now Im doing the other, and then painting them.

I don't see a reflector on those, which would make it illegal. They don't look good anyway. No plastic covering? I'd say bad idea.

i have the cf tails as well...im thinking about painting them as well...
im not sure though, they are on my car right now, ill take some pics when the rain stops...
